Job summary

True North Insights is seeking a highly experienced full-stack engineer to join our engineering team in Manila. You will own end‑to‑end delivery of web-based applications, spanning backend services in Java/Spring, database design, API integration, and frontend delivery with AI-assisted tooling.

You will work with product, operations, and frontline stakeholders to optimize workflows and ROI. You will establish technical standards, participate in hiring, mentorship, and contribute to production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field; highly desirable
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong backend ownership of database-driven web apps in production
• Expertise in Java and Spring/Spring Boot; relational DB design and optimization

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of major product features from architecture to deployment and production support
• Design, build, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring
• Maintain and evolve database architecture and queries for performance and reliability
• Build and harden front-end features in collaboration with product teams
• Work with product/ops to understand workflows and deliver practical software solutions
• Lead by example, mentor engineers, and participate in hiring decisions
• Use AI-assisted coding tools regularly while ensuring code quality and security
• Deploy and monitor applications on AWS with ISO 27001/27701 alignment
