True North Insights is a global expert network connecting organizations with subject matter experts to inform strategic decisions.

We are seeking a hands-on full‑stack engineer to own a web‑based database application, collaborating with product, operations, and frontline stakeholders to deliver value and ROI. The role includes interviewing, hiring, and mentoring engineers while shaping engineering standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
Typically 8+ years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent leadership.
Strong backend experience with database-driven web applications in production.
Proficient in Java and Spring, with relational database design and performance optimization.
Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions with good time management.

Responsibilities

Take full ownership of major product features from design through deployment and support.
Design, build, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring.
Evolve database architecture and data models for performance and scale.
Develop front-end features with production quality, using AI-assisted tools where suitable.
Collaborate with product and operations to identify workflow improvements and ROI opportunities.
Lead and mentor engineers, participate in hiring and onboarding.
Deploy, monitor, and support apps on AWS with security and ISO compliance.
Contribute to architecture, standards, and development processes.
