Job summary

Connext is seeking a Staff Accountant II to manage full-cycle accounting, maintain accurate financial records, and support reporting for internal teams and clients. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent accounting experience).
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in bookkeeping, full-cycle accounting, or a similar role.
• At least one (1) year of experience with U.S. bookkeeping, U.S. GAAP, and U.S. tax-related accounting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Record and categorize daily financial transactions (purchases, sales, receipts, payments).
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger; prepare adjusting entries as needed.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Reconcile payroll transactions with payroll tax filings and prepare related journal entries.
• Prepare financial reports (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow).
• Monitor vendor payments and support year-end 1099 reporting requirements.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain organized accounting records and support audits or reviews.
