Job summary

Connext is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the Philippines on a temporary reliever basis. You will manage cash accounting and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and integrity of records while supporting daily operations.

You will work with the Team Leader, mentor junior accountants, and contribute to process improvements, with exposure to US GAAP and international accounting practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or related field.
• Minimum of four years in financial analysis, reporting, or accounting, including international experience.
• Must have a stable employment history.
• Familiar with US GAAP or US accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in line with GAAP/IFRS.
• Generate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reports.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments accurately.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Perform cash reconciliations for bank accounts daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in cash balances.
• Match bank transactions with accounting records.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accountants.
• Analyze financial trends to support business decisions.
• Identify unusual transactions or anomalies through data analysis.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
