SolarWinds is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our Platform Reliability organization. The role leads cross-functional delivery, aligning SRE initiatives with platform engineering, product, and security teams to ensure reliability and operational excellence.

You will translate roadmaps into actionable delivery plans, surface risks early, and drive accountability across owners while maintaining momentum across a growing portfolio of initiatives.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience managing technical projects, programs, or portfolios in software, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or related environments.
• Proven success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from planning through delivery and operational adoption.
• Understanding of software delivery and production operations, including infrastructure, cloud, CI/CD, observability, incident and change management.
• Experience coordinating work across engineering teams with dependencies, constrained capacity, and competing priorities.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, and roadmap/portfolio platforms.
• Strong risk management to identify hidden dependencies, schedule threats, and operational risks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to tailor technical and delivery information for diverse stakeholders.
• Experience building portfolio views, roadmaps, delivery plans, executive reports, and measurable outcomes.
• Ability to facilitate difficult prioritization and trade-off conversations while maintaining trust across teams.
• Technical fluency to understand architecture discussions and engineering trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Own an integrated portfolio view of SRE initiatives with scope, milestones, owners, dependencies, risks, decisions, capacity, and status.
• Lead integrated planning across Platform Engineering, Application Engineering, Product, Security, and Finance.
• Establish intake governance and readiness checks for SRE work to identify dependencies and risks early.
• Translate roadmaps into executable delivery plans with clear outcomes and owners.
• Coordinate reliability programs including upgrades, migrations, DR exercises, readiness, maintenance, security, automation, and cost optimization.
• Facilitate prioritization and capacity discussions across teams based on impact and goals.
• Maintain delivery rhythm with planning, dependency reviews, risk tracking, and stakeholder updates.
• Prepare executive status reports focusing on business impact and risks.
