London Stock Exchange Group is seeking a Senior Associate Site Reliability Engineer to lead reliability across platforms. You will own monitoring, incident response, and operational excellence while partnering with Architecture, Security, and Platform teams.

A strong emphasis on observability and cost efficiency will shape your daily work. You will mentor engineers, drive SRE practices, and ensure readiness for BAU operations post-delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in SRE/Platform Engineering or related roles.
• Strong AWS experience including EKS, ECS, EC2, IAM.
• Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
• Designing observability platforms with monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Hands-on with Datadog for metrics, logs, APM, and alerts.
• Solid understanding of SRE principles: SLOs, error budgets, incident management.
• Experience collaborating with architecture and engineering teams on design.
• Knowledge of cloud security principles and security teamwork.
• Experience with FinOps: monitoring, optimizing, costs for ML/AI services.
• Hands-on with integrating AI with observability stacks (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana).

Responsibilities

• Lead the establishment of SRE foundations for new projects.
• Embed reliability, scalability, security, and observability into system design.
• Define and champion observability standards across metrics, logs, traces, SLOs/SLOs.
• Design and evolve monitoring and alerting to improve visibility and reduce toil.
• Drive reliability improvements through incidents, tuning, and resilient patterns.
• Collaborate with Security to meet compliance and risk-management expectations.
• Hand over from project delivery to BAU SRE operations with readiness.
• Influence cost optimization and efficiency in cloud environments.
• Mentor engineers and set engineering standards for the team.
