Job Summary
The Senior Warehouse and Logistics Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all warehouse and logistics operations to ensure efficient inventory management, timely order fulfillment, cost-effective transportation, and operational excellence. This role develops and implements warehouse strategies, policies, systems, and standard operating procedures that support the company's rapid expansion while ensuring high standards of inventory accuracy, productivity, safety, and customer service.
The position plays a critical leadership role in building a scalable warehouse and logistics organization capable of supporting multi-branch retail operations and future business growth.
Lead the overall warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, replenishment, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
Develop and implement warehouse strategies that improve productivity and operational efficiency.
Ensure optimal warehouse layout and storage utilization.
Establish warehouse performance standards and monitor daily operational KPIs.
Maintain high inventory accuracy through cycle counts and inventory audits.
Ensure compliance with FIFO, FEFO, and inventory handling standards where applicable.
Minimize inventory discrepancies, damages, and product losses.
Oversee inbound and outbound logistics nationwide.
Develop efficient delivery schedules and transportation plans.
Manage third-party logistics providers and courier partners.
Optimize freight costs while maintaining service levels.
Monitor delivery performance and resolve transportation issues promptly.
Ensure timely replenishment to all retail stores and distributors.
Ensure inventory integrity across warehouses and retail branches.
Collaborate with Merchandising, Purchasing, Finance, and Retail Operations regarding inventory planning.
Analyze stock movement and warehouse capacity.
Recommend inventory improvements to reduce aging and slow-moving stocks.
Develop warehouse policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Establish logistics workflows that improve speed, accuracy, and accountability.
Drive continuous process improvements using Lean and best practices.
Implement warehouse automation and technology initiatives when applicable
Lead, coach, mentor, and develop warehouse supervisors and logistics personnel.
Build a high-performance warehouse culture focused on accountability and operational excellence.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and coaching sessions.
Identify manpower requirements and succession plans.
Ensure compliance with occupational safety regulations and company policies
Maintain warehouse security and loss prevention controls.
Implement emergency response procedures.
Ensure compliance with government regulations related to warehousing and transportation.
Prepare and manage warehouse and logistics budgets.
Monitor operational expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Analyze logistics costs and recommend improvements.
Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse resources and equipment
Lead implementation and optimization of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, barcode/RFID solutions, and inventory technologies.
Generate operational reports and dashboards for management.
Utilize data analytics to improve warehouse and logistics performance.
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
Master's degree is an advantage.
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain management.
At least 5 years in a senior managerial role.
Experience managing large-scale distribution centers and multi-location retail operations.
Proven experience in warehouse expansion, process improvement, and logistics optimization.
