Job summary

Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. in Laguna, Philippines, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to support NPI quality activities, perform component verification, inspection and measurement tasks, and coordinate supplier quality documentation and SCAR processes to ensure product qualification and production readiness.

You will collaborate with QE, Process, Eng’g and Purchasing, generate routine quality reports, review SQIR and MDR, and assist in supplier improvement initiatives while upholding

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 3-year technical course or college in Engineering, preferably Mechanical ENG or related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Manufacturing Quality.
• Hands-on experience with measuring/inspection equipment (2D/3D): CMM, calipers, micrometers, height gauges.
• Knowledge of SPC, quality tools, and structured problem-solving (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA).
• Ability to read GD&T drawings and technical documentation; prepare technical reports and supplier quality documentation.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100 or other QMS is advantageous.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Good communication skills with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, self-motivated, eager to learn new quality methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Generate regular quality reports (SCAR, weekly updates, system uploads).
• Provide factory support by reviewing SQIR, MDR, and E-Purgings; participate in quality meetings; validate measurements; support requirements.
• Perform other quality and administrative tasks as directed by SQE Engineer or SQE Manager; participate in cross-functional quality meetings and supplier/customer discussions.

Job Summary

Support SQE Engineers in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities by performing technical quality support, component verification, inspection and measurement support, supplier quality documentation, issue tracking and coordination activities to ensure successful product qualification and production readiness.

• Perform the following activities:
• Conduct reject component verification during NPI stages from Production, IQC and Customer.
• Handle administrative tasks such as:
  • Compilation and uploading of NPI data into systems.
  • Review and validation of SQIR from Production, IQC and internal teams.
  • Issuance of Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR)
• Support daily operations across Production, IQC and customer requirements.
• Coordinate supplier sorting, rework, and evaluation activities.
• Oversee/collaborate on IQC measurement activities for NPI component.
• Follow up on supplier issues and pending requirements.
• Propose and support supplier improvement initiatives to meet quality objectives and monitor supplier performance for new products.
• Support internal teams such as QE, Process, Eng'g and purchasing in resolving production and customer quality issues related to supplier materials.
• Participate in factory quality meetings and supplier visit/meetings.
• Support product development activities such as: PQCP reviews, Supplier fabrication monitoring, other related tasks.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 3-year technical course or college graduate in the field of Engineering, preferably Mechanical Eng'g or related field
• Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Manufacturing Quality within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in the use of measuring and inspection equipment, including 2D and 3D measurement systems (e.g., CMM, Vision Systems, Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges).
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), quality tools, and structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA).
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and technical documentation.
• Ability to prepare technical reports, inspection reports, and supplier quality documentation.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, or other relevant quality management systems is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to learn new technologies and quality methodologies.
