Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (Electrical/Electronics) in the Philippines. This role focuses on evaluating supplier capabilities and ensuring quality standards in materials and components used by AEIS.

You will lead assessments, drive supplier audits, and participate in MRB and QIP processes, reporting to the Senior Quality Manager. Some travel is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of SQE experience in electronics or electrical industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in electronics/electrical or mechanical engineering, or science/physics.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing process and quality control; ceramic substrate, semiconductor, passive or E-mech preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO procedures and RoHS.
• Experience auditing, qualifying, and selecting suppliers.
• Some travel will be required.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft applications.
• Experience with measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assists in development of commodity strategy by working closely with commodity groups.
• Ensures that approved suppliers conform to all conditions defined in our Supplier Quality System Manual and provide evidence of continuous improvement in the quality of their output.
• Review and respond to the SCB/PCN timely.
• Audit key suppliers regularly and prepare the audit report.
• Performs as a team member of the MRB, reviews DMR and provides corrective actions.
• Provide Knowledge Transfer training to all new suppliers to ensure AE requirements are understood.
• Prepare QBR/PBR for the Quality section and attend.
• Regular review FMEA and SPM with vendors to ensure improvement and process control.
• Review, track, and analyze annual quality data and provide QIP.

Job Summary

The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (Electrical/Electronics) provides technical representation and support in supplier selection by evaluating suppliers’ technical capabilities and capacity to meet AE requirements. Conducts comprehensive technical assessments to ensure suppliers can deliver products and services at the required quality standards. This role will report to the Senior Quality Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists in development of commodity strategy by working closely with commodity groups.
• Ensures that approved suppliers conform to all conditions defined in our Supplier Quality System Manual and provide evidence of continuous improvement in the quality of their output.
• Review and respond to the SCB/PCN timely.
• Audit key suppliers regularly and prepare the audit report.
• Performs as a team member of the Material Review Board (MRB), reviews Discrepant Material Reports (DMR) and provides corrective actions for any/all defective material that may be received from approved suppliers.
• Provide "Knowledge Transfer" training to all new suppliers to ensure they are fully understood AE requirement and business process.
• Prepare QBR/PBR for the Quality section and attend.
• Regular review FMEA and SPM (Supplier Process Management Plan) with vendors to ensure improvement and process control are in place.
• Review, track, and analyze annual quality data and provide QIP (Quality Improvement Plan).

Qualifications

• At least 3-5 years of SQE working experience in electrical or electronics industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in electronic & electrical / mechanical engineering or science/ Physics.
• Experience in the electronics manufacturing process and quality control. Ceramic Substrate, Semiconductor, Passive or E-Mech (switch, relay, circuit breaker, connectors, fuse, batteries, DC Fans) are preferred.
• Experience in the quality tools application such as SPC, FMEA, 8D and etc., preferably Six Sigma green belt/ black belt certified.
• Knowledge of ISO procedure and RoHS.
• Experience in auditing, qualifying, and selecting suppliers.
• Some travel will be required.
• Good oral and writing communication skills in English.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Proficient in other Microsoft applications.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Experienced in related measurement equipment.
