Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a highly driven NPI Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) Manager to lead supplier quality for New Product Introduction programs. This role ensures readiness, prevents supplier-related quality escapes, and enforces QCCL discipline from Proto through EVT and DVT.

You will partner with NPI QPM and cross‑functional teams to enable predictable, high‑quality product launches and support overall QPI performance objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related)
• Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt, ASQ CQE or equivalent preferred
• 8–10+ years in Supplier Quality, NPI Quality, or Manufacturing Quality in high‑reliability industries
• Strong knowledge of PFMEA, control plans, APQP, PPAP, and FAI processes

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier quality execution across NPI phases (Proto, EVT, DVT).
• Identify and mitigate early supplier quality risks to prevent escapes.
• Collaborate with NPI QPM to align readiness with milestones and phase gates.
• Provide supplier quality approvals supporting NPI phase exits and DVT readiness.
• Establish, validate, and maintain the QCCL for all assigned NPI programs.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly driven and experienced NPI Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) Manager to lead supplier quality execution for New Product Introduction (NPI) programs. This role is critical to ensuring supplier quality readiness, preventing supplier‑related quality escapes, and enforcing disciplined execution of the Quality Critical Component List (QCCL) from Proto through EVT and DVT. The SQE Manager partners closely with NPI Quality Program Management (QPM) and cross‑functional teams to enable predictable, high‑quality product launches and support overall Quality Performance Index (QPI) objectives.

Essential Responsibilities

New Product Introduction (NPI) & Supplier Quality

• Lead supplier quality execution across NPI phases (Proto, EVT, DVT).
• Prevent critical supplier‑related quality incidents during NPI through early risk identification and mitigation.
• Partner with NPI QPM to ensure supplier quality readiness aligns with program milestones and phase gates.
• Provide supplier quality approval supporting NPI phase exits and DVT readiness.

Quality Critical Component List (QCCL) Execution

• Establish, validate, and maintain the QCCL for all assigned NPI programs.
• Ensure 100% of QCCL items are reviewed, mitigated, and cleared prior to first NPI build.
• Define supplier qualification and control strategies for all QCCL components.
• Ensure QCCL risks are mitigated, verified, and supplier‑approved by DVT.

Supplier Readiness & FAI Execution

• Ensure NPI suppliers are deployed with a defined and approved NPI quality process.
• Assess supplier readiness for new designs, processes, materials, and technologies.
• Own First Article Inspection (FAI) planning and execution readiness for NPI builds.
• Ensure on‑time FAI completion prior to NPI build execution.

Risk Management, Prevention & Continuous Improvement

• Lead supplier risk assessments including PFMEA, control plan reviews, and process capability evaluations.
• Drive proactive supplier prevention and control improvements to eliminate defects before occurrence.
• Deliver supplier prevention or control improvements.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier‑related NPI issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline).
• Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or equivalent certification preferred.
• 8 to 10+ years of relevant experience in Supplier Quality, NPI Quality, or Manufacturing Quality. Experience supporting complex, high‑reliability products in industries such as semiconductor equipment, industrial, medical devices, aerospace, or high‑tech manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong expertise in supplier quality, NPI execution, and risk management.
• Working knowledge of PFMEA, control plans, APQP, PPAP, and FAI processes.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence without authority.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
