Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to lead supplier assessments and drive quality improvements in electrical/electronics components. You will partner with commodity teams, audit suppliers, and guide corrective actions within AE’s Supplier Quality System.

The role requires 3–5 years of SQE experience, a degree in electronic/electrical/mechanical engineering or physics, and strong English communication. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• At least 3-5 years of SQE experience in electrical/electronics.
• Bachelor’s degree in electronic/electrical or mechanical engineering or science/Physics.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing process and quality control; preferred components.
• Experience with quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, 8D; Six Sigma green/black belt preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO procedures and RoHS.
• Experience auditing, qualifying, and selecting suppliers.
• Some travel required.
• Good written and spoken English; team player; proficient with MS apps.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Experience with related measurement equipment.

• Review, track, and analyze quality data and implement QIP.

Job Summary

The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (Electrical/Electronics) provides technical representation and support in supplier selection by evaluating suppliers’ technical capabilities and capacity to meet AE requirements. Conducts comprehensive technical assessments to ensure suppliers can deliver products and services at the required quality standards.This role will report to the Senior Quality Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists in development of commodity strategy by working closely with commodity groups.
• Ensures that approved suppliers conform to all conditions defined in our Supplier Quality System Manual and provide evidence of continuous improvement in the quality of their output.
• Review and respond to the SCB/PCN timely.
• Audit key suppliers regularly and prepare the audit report.
• Performs as a team member of the Material Review Board (MRB), reviews Discrepant Material Reports (DMR) and provides corrective actions for any/all defective material that may be received from approved suppliers.
• Provide "Knowledge Transfer" training to all new suppliers to ensure they are fully understood AE requirement and business process.
• Prepare QBR/PBR for the Quality section and attend.
• Regular review FMEA and SPM (Supplier Process Management Plan) with vendors to ensure improvement and process control are in place.
• Review, track, and analyze annual quality data and provide QIP (Quality Improvement Plan).

Qualifications

• At least 3-5 years of SQE working experience in electrical or electronics industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in electronic & electrical / mechanical engineering or science/ Physics.
• Experience in the electronics manufacturing process and quality control. Ceramic Substrate, Semiconductor, Passive or E-Mech (switch, relay, circuit breaker, connectors, fuse, batteries, DC Fans) are preferred.
• Experience in the quality tools application such as SPC, FMEA, 8D and etc., preferably Six Sigma green belt/ black belt certified.
• Knowledge of ISO procedure and RoHS.
• Experience in auditing, qualifying, and selecting suppliers.
• Some travel will be required.
• Good oral and writing communication skills in English.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Proficient in other Microsoft applications.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Experienced in related measurement equipment.
