Job summary

S&P Dow Jones Indices in Manila is seeking a seasoned data governance professional to lead governance frameworks, ensure data quality, and support responsible AI practices within the Equity Data value stream.

The role requires 5+ years in the field, strong knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK/DCAM, and SQL proficiency. You will engage with data owners, monitor data quality, and contribute to risk assessments while working at the office at least 2 days per week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data governance, data quality management, compliance, or related financial services roles.
• 2+ years working with data management frameworks.
• Strong understanding of data governance frameworks (DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM, or similar) and AI/ML concepts including responsible AI principles.
• Ability to write SQL queries and perform basic data analysis, with clear policy and technical documentation.

• Execute and operationalize data and AI governance frameworks, policies, and standards, ensuring data accuracy and completeness for critical financial products.
• Design and execute robust data quality monitoring programs, conduct root cause analysis, and collaborate with data owners to implement corrective actions.
• Support AI risk assessments by evaluating potential biases and unintended consequences, maintain AI model inventory, and collaborate with AI Solutions Experts.
• Participate in project intake and review processes, providing governance guidance and identifying risks to ensure compliance.
• Serve as governance resource to value stream SMEs, developing training materials and conducting awareness sessions with stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in governance processes, staying current on emerging technologies.
• All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.

The Equity Data value stream at S&P Dow Jones Indices is crucial for maintaining data integrity and supporting the company’s product offerings . This team ensures the accuracy, consistency, and ethical use of data across SPDJI data assets and AI solutions, playing a pivotal role in data governance and quality management.

Responsibilities And Impact

What We’re Looking For

Basic Required Qualifications:

• An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 5+ years of experience in data governance, data quality management, compliance, or related financial services roles, with 2+ years working with data management frameworks.
• Strong understanding of data governance frameworks (DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM, or similar), data quality assessment methodologies, and AI/ML concepts including responsible AI principles.
• Ability to write SQL queries and perform basic data analysis, coupled with excellent documentation skills to create clear policies and technical specifications.
• We require all external candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications in data governance, data management, or privacy (CDMP, DGSP, CIPP, or similar).
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to team initiatives, resolve varied and non-routine issues, and provide guidance and clarification to support quality work output.
• Strong Emotional Intelligence, actively listening to understand diverse perspectives, and prioritizing tasks based on their importance and urgency to achieve team goals.
• Proactive in using previous experience to identify appropriate courses of action or improve existing approaches, and capable of interpreting technical information to aid understanding within the team.
