Job summary

Sabre Corporation is seeking a Sr Software Engineer to drive the design, development, testing, and maintenance of complex software solutions. The role requires deep expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring, and microservices, with strong experience in web services, data stores, and cloud-based tooling.

You will lead technical efforts, collaborate across teams, and contribute to scalable architectures while delivering high-quality software.

Qualifications

• Hands on coding experience in Core Java (preferably JDK 17+) and J2EE with 5-7 years of experience.
• Complete understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis, Design & Programming.
• Hands on experience with Spring Framework and related (spring-core, soap & spring-boot).
• Hands on experience using Software Design Patterns of GOF, J2EE and related.
• Strong Experience in web services development, SOAP and REST.
• Experience in SOA and micro services architecture.
• Complete Understanding of relational databases and NoSQL databases. Relational DB (Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL (Mongo).
• Demonstrated knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems, Shell Scripts.
• Experience with Maven, Jenkins, GIT , Github.
• Understanding of TDD practices and experience with Unit, System, Integration Testing & Performance Testing - JMeter, JConsole etc.
• Experience working with tools like IntelliJ, Putty, Winscp, SoapUI/Postman/Bruno, Sql developer.
• Knowledge & Experience in GCP.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction for projects or project teams and oversee large, complex initiatives.
• Collaborate with technical staff to resolve software problems and implement improvements.

Sr Software Engineering Job Description

Responsible for developing, coding, testing, and debugging new highly complex software solutions or enhancements to existing software in a maintenance capacity. Provides direction for entire project or a project team. Applies advanced skills and concepts to oversee large, complex projects. Has good understanding of business application. Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them. Resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. May assist in development of software technical documentation. Demonstrates software. Demonstrates broad knowledge of technical solutions. Designs and codes complex applications using advanced technology. May create optimization programs to resolve problems. May design and build prototype applications.

MANDATORY SKILLS:
