Job summary

Lalamove in Mexico City seeks a data-driven Business Analyst to work with the Managing Director to optimize performance across sales, marketing, and operations.

You will translate complex data into strategic recommendations using SQL, Python, and BI tools, and present findings to non-technical stakeholders. Fluent English and Spanish required; 3–4 years in data analysis or strategy preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, data analysis, business administration, engineering, or a related field.
• 3–4 years in data analysis, business strategy, management consulting, or project management.
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, BI tools (Power BI/Tableau), and Python or R.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work autonomously.
• Fluent written and verbal English and Spanish communication.

As a fast-growing tech unicorn expanding across Latin America, we are looking for a data-driven and strategic Business Analyst to work closely with our Managing Director to optimize business performance in Mexico.

What you will do:

• Business Strategy: Collaborate directly with executive leadership to design and execute long-term strategic initiatives.
• Analytics & Modeling: Build analytical tools and data models (SQL, Python, BI) to track key KPIs across sales, marketing, and operations.
• Operational Efficiency: Identify growth opportunities and process improvements through deep-dive data research.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Communicate complex findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders to accelerate decision-making.

What we are looking for:

• Education: Degree in Statistics, Data Analysis, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 3–4 years in data analysis, business strategy, management consulting, or project management.
• Tech Stack: Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, BI tools (Power BI/Tableau), and ideally Python or R.
• Key Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, strategic mindset, and the capacity to work autonomously.
• Languages: Fluent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.

$50,000 - $60,000 a month

Competitive Compensation: $50,000 – $60,000 MXN per month (negotiable based on experience).
