Job summary

Cardinal Health’s Application Development & Maintenance team is responsible for developing, delivering, and operating IT solutions across the organization. You will support applications, investigate incidents, and work with cross-functional teams to improve processes and services.

The role emphasizes independent handling of production tickets, root-cause analysis, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure reliable systems and timely incident resolution.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of application support or related technical support experience preferred.
• Prior DME industry experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting application issues, analyzing system behavior, and resolving user-reported incidents.
• Brightree experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle production support tickets, user requests, troubleshooting activities, and stakeholder interactions.
• Investigate and resolve moderately complex technical, functional, and process-related issues with limited guidance.
• Work on projects and operational initiatives of moderate scope and complexity.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
• Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, developers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to process documentation, knowledge articles, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prioritize incidents, service requests, and operational activities with sound judgment.
• Assist with onboarding of less experienced team members.

What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value. Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.
