Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our Information Technology team in delivering robust, scalable software solutions. You will design, develop, test, and maintain applications while collaborating with product managers to refine requirements and ensure high-quality code.

You will mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to architectural decisions focused on performance and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience in a relevant programming language (e.g., ASP.NET, Java, Python, C#, JavaScript).
• Proven experience with software development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum.
• Strong understanding of software architecture patterns and design principles (e.g., MVC, Microservices).
• Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and back-end frameworks (e.g., Spring, Django, Express).
• Proficient in database management and data modeling with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing secure coding practices is preferred.
