Sr Accountant

Scope of Role

Regal Rexnord is seeking an Senior Accountant who will be responsible for certain plant accounting functions within the Power Efficiency Solutions (PES) business. This role is responsible for executing the financial operations of the plant including reporting, analysis, and forecasting. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across different functions. This position will have reporting responsibility to the Manager I, Accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager I, Accounting and Senior Manager of Plant Accounting Operations in business partnership with the Plant Manager, participating and providing insightful inputs
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial results and key performance indicator reporting
• Provide meaningful insights on variance drivers against prior year and forecasts, and on plant performance that can drive actions to improve business results
• Track trends and validate deviations, identify risks and opportunities, and drive mitigation actions
• Assist in the development of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts
• Maintain accurate product costing records and manage year-end cost roll up of new standards
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions, collaborate with the production and supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels and highlight and mitigate inventory reserve risk
• Prepare annual operational budgets and periodic forecasts
• Ensure compliance of reporting and internal controls with relevant accounting standards, Sarbanes Oxley requirements, corporate policies and procedures, and other regularly requirements
• Assist internal and external audit during plant financial audits, identify root causes and remediation plans for control deficiencies, and track implementation status

Professional Experience/Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required, CPA preferred
• Minimum five years of relevant and progressive finance/accounting experience
• Strong working knowledge of ERP systems; experience with Oracle and OneStream is a plus
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication skills
