Responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting internet and network cabling systems to ensure reliable connectivity for customers and business operations. The role involves fieldwork, technical problem-solving, and customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and test internet lines (fiber, copper, or coaxial).
- Perform site surveys and assess installation requirements.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues and restore service.
- Terminate, splice, and label cables as required
- Install and configure modems, routers, and other network devices
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance
- Follow installation standards, safety procedures, and SOPs.
- Document completed jobs, test results, and issues encountered.
- Provide basic technical support and explain service usage to customers.
- Coordinate with dispatchers, supervisors, and network teams.
Qualifications
- Technical/Vocational Diploma or related training (preferred)
- At least 1–2 years experience in telecom, cabling, or network installation.
- Basic knowledge of fiber optics, structured cabling, and networking.
- Ability to use hand tools and testing equipment.
- Willing to do fieldwork and work in various weather conditions.
