IDS Medical Systems Philippines, Inc. is seeking a field service engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair medical equipment. The role requires testing and commissioning devices, preventive maintenance, and timely responses to service requests.
Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Electronics/Electrical/Biomedical Engineering, 1–3 years in medical equipment servicing, and willingness to travel locally and internationally when required.
The role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of medical equipment to ensure optimal functionality and customer satisfaction. The role supports service excellence through timely technical support, compliance with safety and regulatory standards, proper documentation and continuous enhancement of technical expertise.
Perform installation, testing, commissioning and configuration of medical devices and equipment.
Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.
Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment issues promptly and effectively.
Ensure all equipment operates according to manufacturer specifications and operational standards.
Minimize equipment downtime through timely servicing and technical support.
Provide technical support and training to healthcare professionals on the proper operation and basic maintenance of medical equipment.
Respond promptly to service requests and customer concerns thru service calls or site visits.
Coordinate with customers to schedule maintenance and repair activities.
Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, healthcare professionals and end-users to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Complete warranty, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and breakdown service activities within established service standards.
Deliver high-quality technical service to ensure customer satisfaction and minimize complaints.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date service records, equipment history, maintenance logo and related technical documentation.
Prepare and submit complete service reports and ensure proper documentation of all service activities.
Complete required technical certifications, manufacturer training and refresher programs.
Continuously enhance product knowledge and technical competencies to support multiple product lines.
Recommend and coordinate the replacement of spare parts and consumables required for equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.
Monitor the availability and proper utilization of service tools, spare parts, and equipment to support uninterrupted service operations.
Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
Licensed Engineer preferred (where applicable).
Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in medical equipment servicing, healthcare technology management, or biomedical engineering.
Experience with Diagnostic Imaging, Critical & Intensive Care, Cardiovascular Intervention equipment is an advantage.
Willingness to travel locally and internationally when required.
