Qualifications

• Strong documentation and reporting abilities.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of biomedical and medical equipment
• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair medical equipment to ensure proper and safe operation
• Conduct regular equipment checks, calibration, and performance testing
• Respond promptly to reported equipment breakdowns and technical concerns
• Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, calibration, and service history
• Monitor preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion
• Coordinate with authorized suppliers and service providers for specialized repairs and calibration
• Assist in the installation, testing, commissioning, and decommissioning of biomedical equipment
• Maintain an updated inventory and status report of biomedical equipment
• Provide technical assistance and basic user guidance to hospital staff on the proper operation and care of equipment

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
• Experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair, particularly in a hospital or healthcare setting
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of medical equipment
• Familiarity with electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems of medical equipment
• Knowledge of basic hospital safety standards and equipment handling procedures
• Proficient in documentation, equipment inventory, and maintenance reporting
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with hospital departments and external service providers
• Licensed Engineer or with relevant technical certifications is an advantage
