Job summary

Royal Caribbean Group is seeking a Specialist, Human Resources Operations in the Manila area to manage onboarding of crew for management, specialty, and marine positions. A high level of communication, planning, and stakeholder coordination is essential to meet weekly and monthly goals.

The role involves cross-functional liaison with Talent Attraction, Scheduling, Visa, and other teams, and delivering weekly stakeholder reports while maintaining compliance with policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • At least two (2) years onboarding or any relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Onboard crew in Management, Specialty, and Marine roles with strong customer focus.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, local, international, and company policies for crew safety and wellbeing.
  • Coordinate with Talent Attraction, Crew Assist, Scheduling, Visa, Port Agents, School, and other teams to meet hiring and scheduling needs.

Royal Caribbean Group’s Crew Readiness Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Specialist, Human Resources Operations.

Position Summary / Job Purpose:

The Specialist, Human Resources Operationsis responsible for all aspects of onboarding process relative to positions that fall under the category of Management, Specialty, and Marine. High-level of competencies in communication, planning, stakeholder management, and time management are essential given the urgent and critical nature of these positions. The distribution of work may vary based on relevant skills, experience, and business need or as otherwise determined by management.

However, in any case, the Specialist, Human Resources Operations should maximize his/her time for efficiency and effectiveness to help the Global Crew Readiness Operations team in all aspects of the onboarding processes to achieve weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual goals. This includes reporting and providing weekly reports to Stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Providestimelyandcustomer-focusedservicetocrewmembersthatbelongtothecategoryofManagement,Specialty,andMarinepositionsandinternalcustomers
  • Ensureseachcrewmemberreceivesappropriatelevelofsupportandguidancetocreateanexemplaryonboardingexperience.
  • Ensures compliance to regulatory, local, international, and company policies to ensure safety and well-being of the crew members.
  • Liaises with the various teams (Talent Attraction, Crew Assist, Scheduling, Visa, Port Agents, School, Authorized Referral Sources and RCM Manila) when appropriate, to meet hiring and scheduling in a timely manner.
  • Providesback-upsupporttofellowOperationsSpecialistsandguidancetotheOperationsRepresentativesbybeinga consultant in terms of visa, medical, and STCW requirements of shipboard roles
  • Worksdiligentlyandproactivelytoresolveallonboardingrelatedsituations,escalatesirregularitiestotheOperationsSupervisor;and,continuouslyexploreswaystoincreaseefficiencyandeffectiveness
  • Performsalladministrativetasksrelatedtotheonboardingofshipboardemployees
  • Preparesvariousreportsasrequired,including,butnotlimitedto,statusreports,analysis,andlistsoftalentpoolsincludingstatusupdatestoStakeholders.
  • EstablishesmonthlygovernancemeetingswithRecruitment,Scheduling,MobilityCenters,HR Onboard and Stakeholders.
  • Consistently meets the performance metrics set by the management team.
  • Performsotherdutiesasrequired.Asneeded,participatesin special projects assigned by management. Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, hospitality management, business administration, or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent preferred
  • At least two (2) years onboarding or any relevant experience.
