We are looking for a commercially minded professional who thrives on balancing business growth with smart risk management. In this role, you will partner closely with the Lubricants business to support sustainable growth, identify opportunities, and make sound credit decisions that help maximize value while managing risk effectively. As a Credit Specialist, you will manage a customer portfolio enabling business growth through informed credit decisions. While your primary focus will be the Lubricants portfolio, you will also have opportunities to support other business areas as needs evolve, providing broad exposure across the organization.
As part of our Credit Risk Assessment Team, you will play a key role in supporting Shell's Lubricants business by evaluating customer credit risk, managing credit exposures, and enabling informed business decisions. You will help balance growth opportunities with sound risk management while ensuring compliance with Shell's credit policies.
We are looking for a Credit Specialist who combines strong financial and analytical expertise with excellent stakeholder management skills. In this role, you'll work closely with colleagues across different functions and cultures, helping the business make informed credit decisions while building and maintaining strong customer relationships. You'll be confident in making sound risk-based decisions, addressing complex credit challenges, and driving positive business outcomes.
Comfortable using digital tools, systems, and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, to support credit assessments and decision-making. Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and present data-driven insights that support business decisions.
Commercially minded professional who can effectively partner with Sales and other business teams on credit-related matters. Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to discuss sensitive topics such as credit risk exposure, credit limits, and customer financial performance while maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.
Demonstrates a proactive approach to identifying process improvements and driving efficiencies. Embraces innovation and digital solutions to enhance ways of working and improve team performance.
Open to working in a project-based role and adapting to evolving business needs and priorities.
