Job summary

RecruitGo is seeking a Solution Architect to design large-scale public-sector and utility programs focused on DER, solar + storage, EVs, and EV charging infrastructure. You will translate client requirements and RFPs into practical program designs.

You will work remotely from the Philippines in a 6-month Independent Contractor role with an 8-hour daily schedule aligned to US time zones, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable outcomes and cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in solution development or program design in energy/utility environments.
• Ability to translate complex technical requirements into practical program solutions.
• Strong technical communication and documentation skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze RFPs and client requirements to identify technical and operational needs.
• Design program-level solutions for DER, solar/storage, EV programs, and EV charging infrastructure.
• Develop program delivery models including staffing, workflows, tech requirements, and incentive processing.
• Develop technical approaches addressing client requirements and measurable outcomes.
• Identify opportunities for technical differentiation and develop solution concepts.
• Collaborate with finance and program teams to develop scope and pricing inputs.
• Ensure solutions align with budgets and implementation requirements.
• Work with SMEs to validate technical approaches.

Position Overview

• The Solution Architect will design technical and operational solutions for large-scale public-sector and utility clean-energy programs. The role focuses on translating client requirements and RFP specifications into practical program designs covering distributed energy resources (DER), solar + storage, electric vehicles, and EV charging infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Analyze RFPs, solicitations, and client requirements to identify technical and operational needs.
• Design program-level solutions for:
  • Distributed energy resources (DER)
  • Solar and battery storage
  • Electric vehicle programs
  • EV charging infrastructure
• Develop program delivery models, including:
  • Staffing structures
  • Operational workflows
  • Technology requirements
  • Incentive/rebate processing
  • Customer/program support processes
• Develop technical approaches that address client requirements and measurable outcomes.
• Identify opportunities for technical differentiation and develop solution concepts.
• Collaborate with finance and program teams to develop scope and pricing inputs.
• Ensure technical solutions are aligned with proposed budgets and implementation requirements.
• Work with subject matter experts to validate technical approaches.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in solution development, program design, engineering, energy, infrastructure, or utility-related environments.
• Working knowledge of:
  • Solar/DER
  • Solar + battery storage
  • EVs
  • EV charging infrastructure
  • Experience designing large-scale programs or operational solutions.
• Understanding of clean energy and sustainability concepts.
• Ability to translate complex technical requirements into practical program solutions.
• Strong technical communication and documentation skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.

Prefered:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with U.S. government or utility programs.
• Experience with state, municipal, or utility procurement.
• Experience at firms such as Arcadis, WSP, AECOM, Stantec, Black & Veatch, Tetra Tech, ICF, or Guidehouse.
• Experience supporting proposal pricing or budget development.
• PMP, CAPM, or CF APMP.
