Job summary

Ascendion is seeking a talented Solution Architect to join our Ortigas, Pasig City team. This full-time role bridges business requirements with technical implementation, ensuring scalable, secure solutions aligned with client objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in software development, systems design, or IT consulting.
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar senior technical design role.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and modern architecture patterns.
• Expertise in microservices, APIs, cloud-native technologies, and distributed systems.
• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent).
• Excellent SDLC and Agile understanding.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for non-technical stakeholders.
• Leadership in cross-functional teams and stakeholder management.
• Relevant industry certifications (AWS/Azure TOGAF) preferred.

About the role

Ascendion is seeking a talented Solution Architect to join our growing team in Ortigas, Pasig City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a pivotal role in designing and implementing innovative technology solutions that drive business value for our clients. As a Solution Architect, you will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, ensuring that solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with organisational objectives. This role is essential to our delivery capability and positions you at the intersection of strategy, technology, and client success.

What you'll be doing

• Translate complex business requirements into comprehensive technical solution designs and architecture documentation
• Conduct stakeholder analysis and requirements gathering sessions with clients to understand their business challenges and objectives
• Design end-to-end solution architectures that align with industry best practices and client technology landscapes
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, and tools to meet specific business and technical requirements
• Collaborate with technical teams, project managers, and business analysts to ensure successful solution delivery
• Develop detailed technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and solution roadmaps
• Conduct proof-of-concept activities and feasibility studies to validate architectural approaches
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to development teams during implementation phases
• Review and validate solutions against defined architecture standards and compliance requirements
• Participate in pre-sales activities and support proposal development for new client engagements

What we're looking for

• Excellent understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies

• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations
• Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities
• Relevant industry certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or similar) are preferred
• Experience in specific domains such as healthcare, finance, e-commerce, or enterprise systems is advantageous
