Job summary

Upgrade Energy Philippines (UGEP) is seeking a technically skilled Project Engineer to lead the design, planning, coordination, and execution of rooftop, commercial, and utility-scale solar PV projects from design through commissioning.

The role blends solar engineering with project execution, requiring collaboration with Sales, Procurement, Operations, Construction, suppliers, and clients to deliver safe, compliant, and high-quality systems on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Must hold a valid PRC License.
• Preferably 2–3 years of relevant experience in solar PV design, project engineering, EPC project execution, or a combination thereof.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
• Experience with PVSyst and other solar design software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or support engineering deliverables for rooftop, commercial, and utility-scale solar PV projects.
• Develop construction-ready PV system designs based on project requirements, site conditions, applicable standards, and engineering best practices.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, Construction, and Operations to ensure alignment on project requirements and deliverables.
• Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant local regulations, PEC/IEC standards, international standards, and applicable construction practices.
