Job summary

Nextpower seeks a Designer/CAD Drafter to support global solar projects from development to construction. You will work with engineers to produce tracker layouts, mechanical sets, and full construction plans, while ensuring design consistency with changing standards.

The role requires Civil/Structural/Mechanical background, fluency in English and Spanish, and strong CAD skills. A collaborative team environment and competitive salary package are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in a related engineering field is required or preferred.
• Proficient with CAD software and drawing standards.
• Strong organization and ability to work in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Provide design support to develop tracker layouts, CAD blocks, mechanical sets and construction plan sets.
• Review site inputs and assist in selecting product types based on site conditions.
• Update designs to new configurations and drafting standards; help automate procedures.
• Conduct value engineering to reduce project costs and improve value.
