Job summary

INTEC Energy Solutions in Manila, Philippines is seeking a Solar/BESS Design Engineer with a strong background in electrical design for PV and battery storage projects. You will develop designs, prepare schematics, layouts, and protection diagrams, and support delivery teams to meet WHS standards.

You will mentor junior engineers, conduct technical studies (earthing, insulation, lightning, short circuit, arc flash, load flow), and size cables using CDGES/ETAP/CYMCAP.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience as a BESS/Electrical Design Engineer or similar.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Proficiency with digital engineering and modelling tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop Solar PV and Battery Storage system designs to meet industry and WHS standards, ensuring timely project delivery.
• Assist the Project Delivery Team in resolving technical issues during installation and update designs as needed.
• Prepare system schematics, PV layouts, and equipment designs for both DC and AC sides, including protection SLDs and site layouts.
• Mentor junior engineers on design best practices, industry standards, and company values.
• Conduct and report on technical studies (earthing, insulation coordination, lightning protection, short circuit, arc flash, load flow, and fault level), and size cables using relevant software (CDGES, EMTP, ETAP, CYMCAP).

QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

• Minimum 8 years experience as a BESS/Electrical Design Engineer or similar.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency in digital engineering and modelling tools (e.g., PowerCAD, AutoCAD, PVSyst, ETAP, CYMCAP, CDGES).
• Strong time management, project delivery skills, and proficiency in the Microsoft suite
