We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to provide technical leadership, architectural direction, and hands-on engineering expertise across business-critical software platforms. This role is responsible for guiding engineering teams in designing, building, and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions while fostering engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

As the technical leader within a product team, you will mentor engineers, champion engineering best practices, and collaborate closely with Product, Design, Data, and Engineering leadership to deliver innovative solutions aligned with business objectives. You will influence technical strategy, drive architectural decisions, and ensure the software delivered meets the highest standards of quality, reliability, and maintainability.

This is a highly collaborative role requiring strong technical depth, excellent communication skills, and the ability to balance engineering excellence with commercial priorities.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership

• Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, and solution design for engineering teams.
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, reliable, and maintainable software systems.
• Break down complex technical initiatives into achievable deliverables and successfully drive them through delivery.
• Contribute hands-on to software development across core products and strategic initiatives.
• Ensure engineering principles, coding standards, and architectural best practices are consistently followed.
• Drive code reviews, design reviews, and architecture reviews to maintain high engineering quality.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, frameworks, and engineering practices that deliver business value.
• Simplify complex systems and technical challenges to improve delivery efficiency and long-term maintainability.
• Champion software quality, performance, scalability, reliability, and security across products.
• Promote CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps best practices.
• Ensure infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and release processes follow modern engineering standards.
• Partner with Security teams to embed secure development practices throughout the software lifecycle.
• Identify technical debt and lead initiatives to improve system health and engineering productivity.
• Continuously improve development processes, tooling, and engineering workflows.
• Coach, mentor, and develop engineers through pairing, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
• Help engineers improve software design, problem-solving, and technical decision-making.
• Partner with Engineering Managers on performance, career development, and succession planning.
• Foster an inclusive engineering culture that encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Help recruit, interview, and onboard high-performing engineering talent.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Data teams, and other stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions.
