About the Role

This is a full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to lead technical initiatives and mentor a talented team of software developers. As a Software Technical Lead, you will be responsible for guiding the architectural direction of our software projects, ensuring code quality, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. This role is critical to our success, as you will bridge the gap between senior management and development teams, ensuring that technical excellence aligns with business objectives. You will work on-site in our Makati City office, collaborating closely with colleagues to deliver world-class payment solutions.

What You'll Be Doing

1. Leading and mentoring a team of software developers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and performance feedback
2. Designing and architecting scalable software solutions that align with business requirements and technical best practices
3. Overseeing the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through to deployment and maintenance
4. Collaborating with product managers and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications
5. Establishing and enforcing coding standards, development processes, and quality assurance protocols
6. Identifying technical risks and challenges, and implementing solutions to ensure project delivery
7. Staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, and evaluating their applicability to current and future projects
8. Fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment that encourages continuous learning and professional development
9. Participating in technical decision-making and contributing to strategic planning initiatives
10. Ensuring compliance with security standards and best practices in payment systems development

What We're Looking For

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
2. Minimum of 7-8 years' experience as a software developer with at least 2-3 years in a technical leadership or lead developer role
3. Expert-level knowledge of one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or Go
4. Strong understanding of software architecture patterns, design principles, and clean code practices
5. Proven experience with full-stack development and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
6. Solid background in relational and non-relational databases, with experience in database design and optimisation
7. Experience developing payment systems, fintech solutions, or regulated financial technology platforms is highly desirable
8. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical teams, fostering collaboration and professional growth
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
10. Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to approach complex challenges with a strategic mindset
11. Knowledge of secure coding practices, API security, and compliance requirements in payment processing
12. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices
13. Familiarity with version control systems, continuous integration, and continuous deployment pipelines
