Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically savvy Software System Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business stakeholders, project management, and technical teams, translating complex business requirements into scalable system specifications and architectural designs to ensure our software solutions effectively align with business goals and project delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirement Analysis & Scope Definition: Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and clients to understand business processes, pains, and objectives. Translate high-level Business Requirement Documents (BRD) into detailed Functional Specifications Documents (FSD) / System Requirement Specifications (SRS) to assist in defining project scope.
• System Architecture & Logic Design: Design system data flows, API specifications, system architecture, and core business logic. Create system documentation and visual models (e.g., Use Case Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams) using UML tools.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Support: Work closely with frontend/backend developers and UI/UX designers to ensure technical feasibility and implementation consistency. Assist Project Managers (PM) in evaluating development effort, resource allocation, technical risks, and ensuring overall delivery quality.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Align with project timelines to define test scenarios, user acceptance criteria, and assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Verify that delivered software features conform to the original system specifications and quality standards.

RequirementsExperience & Soft Skills

• 3+ years of experience in software development, system analysis, or a related role.
• In-depth understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and practical experience with Agile/Scrum or Waterfall project management methodologies.
• Exceptional logical thinking skills with the ability to decompose complex business scenarios into clear modular systems.
• Outstanding communication and documentation skills, with the ability to bridge business concepts with technical engineering terms and seamlessly align schedules with Project Managers.

Technical Competencies

Database & SQL

Proficient in database design concepts (RDBMS/NoSQL) and writing SQL queries.

API Architecture

Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles, JSON, and XML structures.

Tooling & Documentation

Proficient with diagramming and documentation tools (e.g., Draw.io, Lucidchart, Visio, Enterprise Architect, or Jira/Confluence).

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Knowledge of cloud platforms and architectures (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience with Microservices architecture or Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Industry-specific domain knowledge (e.g., Fintech, E-commerce, or SaaS products).
• Relevant professional certifications such as CBAP
