Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software quality assurance or software testing experience.
• Hands-on automated and manual testing of complex web or enterprise applications.
• Strong knowledge of testing principles, exploratory testing, risk-based testing, and defect lifecycle management.
• Experience testing UI, APIs, integrations, backend services, and data flows.

Job Description

• Champion Quality - Serve as a customer-focused quality advocate, proactively identifying risks, driving resolutions, and supporting informed release decisions.
• Gain Product Expertise - Develop a thorough understanding of the application, its functionality, integrations, data flows, and user processes to ensure testing aligns with real-world usage.
• Create Effective Test Strategies - Convert business requirements, acceptance criteria, and technical designs into comprehensive test plans that cover positive, negative, integration, and regression scenarios.
• Perform End-to-End Testing - Execute exploratory, functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end tests while managing test environments, data, and documentation.
• Manage Defect Resolution - Analyze issues, reproduce defects, evaluate their impact, document findings clearly, validate fixes, and ensure timely resolution.
• Drive Test Automation - Build and maintain automated test suites for critical workflows, APIs, and user interfaces to improve efficiency and reduce manual testing effort.
• Embed Quality Early - Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders during planning and design phases to enhance testability, clarify requirements, and mitigate risks upfront.
• Leverage AI Tools - Utilize AI-powered solutions to support test creation, coverage assessments, automation development, defect analysis, and documentation while validating outputs for accuracy.
• Enhance Continuous Improvement - Use testing insights, quality metrics, and defect trends to recommend improvements to products, processes, environments, and automation frameworks.
• Collaborate Across Teams - Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to define acceptance criteria, assess risks, communicate quality status, and ensure release readiness without sacrificing quality standards.
• Support Agile Delivery - Actively participate in Scrum, Agile, and SAFe activities, advocating for strong testing practices, quality gates, and a shift-left quality approach throughout the development lifecycle.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
• 4+ years of professional software quality assurance or software testing experience, including hands-on automated and manual testing of complex web or enterprise applications
• Strong knowledge of software testing principles, exploratory testing, test design techniques, risk-based testing, regression strategy, and defect lifecycle management
• Experience designing and executing tests across user interfaces, APIs, integrations, backend services, and data flows
• Experience developing or maintaining automated tests using a modern framework such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or a comparable tool
• Working proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as C#, JavaScript or TypeScript, Python, or Java
• Experience with relational databases and SQL for test-data setup, validation, and defect investigation
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, written communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
