Job summary

Avaloq is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Service Operations – Portfolio Management, Wealth Management & RM Suite team in a hybrid Manila role. You will develop, maintain, and support business-critical applications across PM, WM, and RM Suite domains, ensuring reliability and performance for clients.

You will collaborate with Business Analysts, Service Managers, and Product teams to take over production solutions, resolve issues, and contribute to continuous improvement and automation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or a similar role in the banking or financial services industry
• Strong programming, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge and experience in RDBMS, Oracle SQL, and Oracle PL/SQL
• Experience in software design, development, testing, and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with software development best practices, version control systems, and CI/CD concepts
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
• Self‑motived, proactive, and organized working approach with a demonstrated passion for continuous learning
• Familiarity with cloud environments and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Full professional fluency in English (written and verbal)

Responsibilities

• Ensure the stable and efficient operation of Portfolio Management, Wealth Management, and RM Suite solutions
• Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents, defects, and complex technical issues delivering software changes
• Manage incidents and service requests end-to-end, including impact analysis, coordination, implementation of fixes, and resolution
• Maintain and enhance existing applications and services to meet evolving client and business requirements
• Take care of configuration and deployment of the RM Suite application in ACPR
• Support the onboarding of new banking services and solutions into service delivery and operational support
• Support testing activities, including functional validation, defect fixing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Contribute to the implementation of product enhancements, process improvements, and automation initiatives
• Maintain clear technical documentation and actively promote knowledge sharing and best practices within the team
