Job summary

Avaloq Philippines Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Credits & Risk team within the AMS division.

You will collaborate with the Team Lead, BAs, and engineers to design, develop, and maintain solutions, and participate in client workshops to understand requirements. The role emphasizes clean design, high-quality code, and automated tests, with a hybrid work arrangement to support work-life balance.

Qualifications

3+ years of software development experience.
Good knowledge of SQL and Oracle PL/SQL.
Eager to understand business needs and provide clean, high-quality code.
Strong analytical and structured approach to complex problems.

Responsibilities

Closely collaborate with the Team Lead, Business Analysts and other Software Engineers.
Write solution designs for new developments and have them reviewed with technical leads and architects.
Participate in client workshops and support business analysts in requirements analysis.
Design, develop and maintain well-thought-out solutions within the team’s scope.
Improve and optimize existing functionalities.
Develop and maintain automated tests and ensure quality assurance.
Take ownership and responsibility for your area of expertise.
Work with an agile mindset, processes, and Jira-based ticketing.
