Job summary

Avaloq Group, a Swiss-based world leader in wealth management technology, is seeking a software professional to join its Credits & Risk AMS team. You will maintain services for SaaS clients, design solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality code in a hybrid work environment.

We value 3+ years of experience, strong SQL/PL-SQL skills, and a proactive, analytical mindset. Banking/finance exposure is a plus; a CS-related degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of SQL and Oracle PL/SQL.
• Eagerness to understand business needs and deliver high-quality code.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Team Lead, Business Analysts, and other Software Engineers.
• Write solution designs for new developments and have them reviewed by tech leads/architects.
• Participate in client workshops and support requirements analysis.
• Design, develop and maintain solutions within the team’s scope.
• Improve and optimize existing functionalities.
• Develop and maintain automated tests and quality assurance.
• Take ownership and responsibility for your area of expertise.
• Work with agile mindset, processes, and Jira.

Job Description

The Credits & Risk team in the Application Management Services (AMS) is responsible to provide application maintenance (bug fixing) and small enhancements services for the functional area and all related topics for our SaaS clients.

Your key tasks

• Closely collaborate with the Team Lead, Business Analysts, and other Software Engineers
• Write solution designs for new developments and have them reviewed with our technical leads and architects
• Participate in client workshops and support our business analysts in requirements analysis
• Design, develop and maintain thought-out solutions within the team’s responsibility
• Improve and optimize existing functionalities
• Develop and maintain automated tests, quality insurance
• Take ownership and responsibility for your area of expertise
• To work with agile mindset, process, and ticketing platforms (Jira)

Qualifications

• Strong proven track record of relevant software development experience of at least 3 Years
• Good knowledge and sound understanding of database technologies (SQL, Oracle PL/SQL)
• Eager to learn and understand the business needs aiming to provide clean designs and high-quality code
• Strong conceptual and analytical mind with a structured and autonomous approach to work on complex technical and business problems

It would be a real bonus if you have

• Experience in the banking/financial industry and/or credits & risks topics
• University degree in Computer Science or related discipline (preferable)
