Outdoor Dreams is seeking a versatile mid-level software developer to build internal tools that scale operations. You will collaborate with a technical lead, translate business objectives into software, and write clean TypeScript.

You will also work with PHP/Laravel, Go, or similar backends, create integrations and automation scripts, and write unit and integration tests. A proactive communicator with the ability to handle both major apps and small tasks will thrive.

You will work closely with the technical lead, who will set priorities, provide architectural guidance, and assign work. The work will be varied, involving building or improving core applications, as well as smaller operational projects such as developing integrations, automating workflows, or writing scripts for marketing and business tools.

Key responsibilities

Build, maintain, and improve web applications and internal tools

Translate assigned tasks and business objectives into working software

Write clean, maintainable TypeScript

Work with backend technologies such as PHP and Laravel, Go, or comparable frameworks and languages

Create integrations and automation scripts for marketing, operational, and third-party platforms

Use modern AI development tools, such as Claude or Codex, effectively and responsibly

About you

Professional software development experience appropriate for a mid-level role

Strong working knowledge of TypeScript

Experience with PHP and Laravel, Go, or similar backend technologies

Demonstrated ability to complete well-defined projects independently

Experience writing meaningful unit and integration tests

Familiarity with APIs, third-party integrations, and automation scripts

Ability to understand feedback from non-technical stakeholders and translate it into software requirements
