Qualifications

• Proven Growth Track Record in gaming/entertainment with measurable metrics.
• Fluency across Roblox and other games (Minecraft, GTA V/VI, Fortnite) and subcultures.
• Gen Z copywriting experience for fast, authentic social posts on TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Snapchat, and X.
• Discord mastery: building or moderating servers with roles, bots, and culture.
• Excellent written English with a punchy Gen Z voice.
• Comfort using social scheduling tools, analytics dashboards, and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the multi-platform social calendar aligned with production, posting 1–2 times daily and scaling.
• Write compelling hooks and captions in a Gen Z voice; brief editors on asset needs for TikTok, Shorts, Snapchat, Instagram, and X.
• Coordinate drop-day distribution with creators, ensuring delivery of video cuts, copy, and tagging guidelines on time.

They produce short-form social content and vertical episodic drama at volume for top-tier clients, including a premium apparel brand and an entertainment platform aiming to become the \"Netflix of gaming.\" Operating with a philosophy of \"thoughtful output,\" our client balances high-volume production with deep care for every single piece of content created.

About the Role

We are seeking a Social and Community Manager (Gaming) to serve as the distribution engine and community pulse for a specialized gaming platform. Positioned as a \"Roblox and Discord native\" with a deep understanding of the broader gaming ecosystem, you will turn the production pod’s video output into an active flywheel: every episode fuels social posts, every post drives viewers back to the show, and the Discord community stays actively engaged with the brand. While our client's current focus leans heavily into Roblox, this role will also support their expansion into major titles like Minecraft, Fortnite, and GTA V/VI.

Responsibilities

• Social Calendar & Scheduling: Own and build the multi-platform social calendar aligned with the production schedule, launching at 1–2 posts per day and scaling upward. Manage scheduling tools and approval flows.
• Content Execution & Copywriting: Craft compelling, high-converting hooks and captions in an authentic Gen Z voice. Brief hype editors on asset needs for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Snapchat, Instagram, and X.
• Creator Amplification: Coordinate drop-day distribution with featured creators, ensuring every creator receives their custom video cuts, copy, and tagging guidelines on time.
• Discord & Community Rituals: Host and moderate regular community programming, including weekly creator office hours, episode premieres, community votes, and casting calls.
• Safety & Moderation: Maintain strict safety, clean moderation, and age-appropriate guidelines tailored for an audience that includes players under 18.
• Analytics & Performance Tracking: Compile and publish the weekly \"Monday Numbers Page\" following standard metrics: views, retention/hold rate, channel growth, installs, and production throughput.

Competencies and Qualifications

Must-Have

• Proven Growth Track Record: Experience growing a gaming or entertainment account with verifiable metrics (must be able to demonstrate before-and-after account growth).
• Greater Gaming Ecosystem Fluency: A solid native understanding of not only Roblox but also the broader gaming world (including Minecraft, GTA V/VI, Fortnite, etc.) and how to authentically engage their distinct subcultures.
• Short-Form Ecosystem Fluency: Lives on TikTok and YouTube Shorts, with a solid operational understanding of Snapchat and X platform mechanics.
• Discord Mastery: Deep, hands-on experience building or moderating Discord servers; thoroughly understands server architecture, roles, bots, and gaming community culture.
• Tone & Writing: Excellent written English skills with the ability to write fast, punchy copy in an authentic Gen Z register.
• Tool & Data Literacy: Comfortable utilizing social scheduling software, analytics dashboards, and spreadsheets.
• Trust & Safety Focus: Clean track record in community moderation and enforcing age-appropriate online safety protocols.

Nice-to-Have

• Active Roblox player with hands-on familiarity in key experiences (Dress to Impress, Brookhaven, Berry Avenue, Bloxburg).
• Experience liaising directly with content creators and talent managers.
• Basic visual design capabilities in Canva, Photoshop, or Figma.
• Familiarity with event/product analytics platforms like PostHog.
