Job summary

South Meats in Imus, Cavite is seeking a Skilled Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance on a range of vehicles and equipment used in our facilities. The role involves diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing repairs, and ensuring roadworthiness.

You will work with diesel and gasoline engines, use diagnostic and hand tools, maintain records, and coordinate with supervisors for major repairs. Overtime and occasional emergency repairs may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as mechanic for small and large vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of gasoline and diesel engine systems.
• Willing to render overtime and respond to emergencies.
• Physically fit to work in hot, dirty, or demanding environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment.

• Repair and replace defective parts including brakes, suspension, steering, transmission, clutch, and engine components.

Job Description:

Perform preventive maintenance on small and large vehicles such as oil changes, tune-ups, brake servicing, and lubrication.Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine problems using proper tools and equipment.Repair and replace defective parts including brakes, suspension, steering, transmission, clutch, and engine components.Conduct inspections before and after repairs to ensure vehicle roadworthiness.Service diesel and gasoline engines.Troubleshoot battery, alternator, starter, wiring, and lighting system issues.Maintain tires including repair, rotation, balancing, and replacement.Perform welding, fabrication, and minor body repair when needed.Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, spare parts used, and service schedules.Respond to vehicle breakdowns and emergency roadside repairs when required.Ensure cleanliness and proper care of tools, workshop area, and equipment.Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.Coordinate with supervisors regarding major repairs, parts requirements, and vehicle status.

Qualifications:

High school graduate, vocational graduate, or TESDA certified in Automotive Servicing / Diesel Mechanic / related field.Minimum 3 years experience as mechanic for small and large vehicles.Strong knowledge of gasoline and diesel engine systems.Skilled in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical vehicle problems.Experience in repairing trucks, vans, SUVs, motorcycles, and heavy equipment is an advantage.Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems.Ability to use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools.Basic welding and fabrication skills preferred.Physically fit and able to work in hot, dirty, or demanding environments.Willing to render overtime and respond to emergency repairs if needed.Valid driver’s license (preferred).Honest, dependable, and safety-conscious.
