Job summary

Commonwealth Foods, Inc. is seeking skilled Auto/Truck Diesel Mechanics in Metro Manila (Makati or Mandaluyong). The roles are full-time with a requirement of five or more years’ hands-on experience working on diesel engines and vehicle systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred with vocational auto mechanic training.
• 5+ years’ experience as auto/truck diesel mechanic or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical, mechanical and electronic systems.
• Experience with computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Able to work in Makati or Mandaluyong City.

Responsibilities

• Inspect engine and electrical/mechanical components to diagnose issues accurately.
• Conduct diagnostic testing to identify vehicle issues.
• Perform basic automotive care: fluid changes, parts repair/ replacement to maintain function.
• Schedule maintenance sessions and advise drivers on vehicle use.
• Provide accurate estimates for repair or maintenance work.
• Maintain work logs and repair/maintenance records.
• Handle tools and heavy equipment as needed.
• Test parts and systems after repairs to ensure proper operation.
• Follow safety protocols and keep a clean, organized workspace.
• Perform related tasks as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with completion of vocational Auto Mechanical course
• Minimum of five (5) years’ work experience as Auto/Truck Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including electrical, mechanical, and electronic components, as well as diagnostic tools and repair techniques.
• Ability to work with computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Physical strength and stamina to work on vehicles for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work in Makati or Mandaluyong City.
• 2 Full-Time positions. Direct hire.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical / electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.

• Performing basic automotive care, including changing fluids (e.g. oil), repairing or replacing worn, old, or defective parts of a car and or truck, aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity.
• Schedule future maintenance sessions and advice drivers on good vehicle use practices.
• Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, and effort) for a repair or maintenance job.
• Maintain work logs, repair and maintenance records.
• Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment (e.g. forklift) as needed.
• Testing parts and systems to ensure they work correctly.
• Test drive vehicles after repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles.
