Job summary

A construction company based in the Philippines is seeking a skilled Surveyor with at least 5 years of experience in structural projects. The successful candidate will perform site surveys, manage layout and alignments, and collaborate closely with project teams to ensure compliance with specifications. A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geodetic Engineering is required, along with proficiency in various survey tools and excellent analytical skills. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geodetic Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a surveyor in structural or construction projects.
• Proficient in using survey instruments (Total Station, Theodolite, Auto Level, GPS, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of structural layout, alignment, and elevation setting-out works.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys to establish reference points and alignment for works.
• Perform layout and setup of anchor bolts based on approved drawings.
• Check and verify as-built conditions to ensure design specifications.
• Prepare and submit as-built reports and survey data for review.
• Collaborate with the Project Management team for survey data.
• Calibrate and maintain survey instruments to ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate with QA/QC and Construction teams during inspections.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during operations.
• Identify discrepancies in layout and recommend corrective actions.
• Support other civil and structural survey-related tasks as needed.

Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geodetic Engineering, or a related field

At least 5 years of experience as a surveyor

Proficient in using survey instruments

Strong knowledge of structural layout and alignment works

Ability to interpret engineering drawings

Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills

Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD

Physically fit for various project sites

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys to establish reference points, elevations, and alignment for structural works.
• Perform precise layout and setup of anchor bolts based on approved drawings and design coordinates.
• Check and verify as-built conditions, ensuring structural elements are installed within tolerance and design specifications.
• Prepare and submit as-built reports and survey data for review and documentation.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Management team to provide accurate survey data for fabrication, erection, and alignment works.
• Regularly calibrate and maintain survey instruments (e.g., total station, theodolite, level) to ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate with QA/QC and Construction teams during inspections and verification of structural layouts.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during all surveying operations.
• Identify potential discrepancies in layout or alignment and recommend corrective actions immediately.
• Support other civil and structural survey-related tasks as required by the project.
