Job summary

Altera Digital Health is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (Principal Systems) to safeguard mission-critical healthcare cloud environments. You will lead architecture for highly available cloud platforms, mentor teammates, and ensure seamless integration of diverse systems for client success across APAC.

The role emphasizes proactive risk mitigation, strong communication with stakeholders, and hands-on optimization of Windows-based and Azure environments, with flexible remote work supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or equivalent with 7+ years of hands-on experience.
• Ability to explain complex technical details to varied audiences including end-users and C-suite.
• Proven experience in leading APM tools and cloud infrastructure projects in healthcare tech.

Responsibilities

• Direct technical strategy and provide guidance to healthcare clients while mentoring teammates.
• Own the environment blueprint and architect scalable, reliable, secure clouds.
• Identify and mitigate risks across systems and projects.
• Lead integration of diverse systems and third-party services into unified platforms.
• Monitor, tune, and optimize systems to maximize uptime and efficiency.

As part of our Cloud (Hosting)Business Unit, your primary focus will be keeping our clients’ mission‑critical environments secure, stable, and highly available. Our cloud infrastructure solutions are designed to help healthcare providers improve performance, scale effortlessly, and betterleveragetheir software to create a more connected, efficient, and effective healthcare system.

What You Will Do

• Directtechnical strategy andprovideexpert guidance to our healthcare clientswhile mentoring and elevating your fellow team members.
• Own the environment blueprint and architect, documentscalable,highlyreliableandsecure cloud environments tailored to client needs.
• Initiate identifying and mitigating systems against potential technical risks.
• Anticipate and resolve complex challenges across project lifecycles and live client environments.
• Spearhead the seamless integration of diverse systems and third‑party services to create unified platforms.
• Continuouslymonitor, tune, andoptimizecontrol systems to guaranteemaximumuptime and efficiency.

What You Bring to the Role

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology,engineeringor the equivalent of 7+ years of hands‑on experience supporting and scaling enterprise applications, infrastructure, or cloud environments preferably in a healthcare technology environment.
• You can effortlessly explain complex technical details to anyone, whetheryou’retroubleshooting with an end‑user, strategizing with the IT department, or presenting to the C-suite.
• A proactive approach withexpertisein leading APM tools such as AppDynamics, Datadog, Dynatrace, Azure Monitor,LogicMonitor.
• Deep knowledge of Windows Server administration, IIS, .NET, Clustering, and performance diagnostics (MSMQ, Event Logs,PerfMon).
• Advanced SQL Server skills, specializing in performance tuning, query optimization, blocking analysis, and AlwaysOnAvailability Groups.
• Solid grasp of Azure cloud and networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancing).
• Experience with ServiceNow and ITIL principles.
