Alter Domus is seeking a Senior Tech Workplace Engineer to join our Global IT Operations team in Manila. The role focuses on optimizing end-user experience across Microsoft 365 and messaging infrastructure, with hybrid on-site and remote work.

You will engage stakeholders, design security policies, manage identity and email security, and support a全球 user base. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in IT, strong communication skills, and hands-on experience with Entra ID, M365, and Defender XDR.

Responsibilities

• Microsoft 365 Administration across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, and Defender XDR.
• Design and maintain Entra ID and Conditional Access policies; manage hybrid identity synchronisation and MFA strategies.
• Oversee email security, DLP, and Exchange Online mail flow; manage transport rules and connectors.
• Manage device compliance and Autopilot/Autopatch via Intune; implement security baselines.
• Implement CIS benchmarks and Defender XDR controls to protect data.
• Administer Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and GPO; apply patches and ensure security.
• Collaborate with a global IT team to support users across regions; maintain end-user documentation.
• Optional: Citrix XenApp & Azure Virtual Desktop configuration and application publishing.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Alter Domus is seeking an experienced Senior Tech Workplace Engineer to join our Global IT Operations team. In this role, you will engage with key stakeholders and leverage your technical expertise to enhance end user experience, particularly across our Microsoft 365 and messaging infrastructure.

This position requires a blend of technical expertise, problem‑solving skills, and effective communication to ensure seamless operations and support for our global user base. You will thrive in a dynamic, international corporate environment, with access to tailored training and career development opportunities. This position is based in our Manila office and offers a blend of remote and onsite work.

Key Responsibilities

• Microsoft 365 Administration
  Manage and support the Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Intune, and Microsoft Defender XDR.
• Entra ID and Conditional Access
  Design, implement, and maintain Conditional Access policies to enforce security baselines and protect corporate data. Manage hybrid identity synchronisation, MFA strategies, and risk‑based access controls. Administer Identity Protection policies and Single Sign‑On configurations.
• Email Security and Messaging
  Oversee email security and messaging within Exchange Online, managing threat protection, DLP, and email encryption. Administer Exchange Online mail flow, transport rules, hybrid connectors, and accepted domains. Troubleshoot complex messaging issues using message tracing and header analysis.
• Device Management
  Manage device compliance, Windows Autopilot, Windows Autopatch, security baselines, configuration profiles, update rings, and app deployment via Intune.
• Security and Compliance
  Implement and maintain security protocols and best practices (CIS benchmarks) to protect sensitive data. Manage user access controls, enforce DLP policies, and deploy threat protection measures across the Defender XDR ecosystem (Defender for Endpoint, Identity, Office, Cloud Apps).
• Resource Management
  Administer Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy Objects (GPO). Ensure timely application of patches and adherence to security protocols.
• Global IT Support
  Collaborate with a global IT team to support users across different regions, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness.
• Documentation
  Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation supporting end user operations, including troubleshooting guides, step‑by‑step instructions, and best practices.
• Virtual Application Delivery (nice to have)
  Manage, configure, and optimise Citrix XenApp and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments. Oversee application publishing, session reliability, and user experience. Integrate with Microsoft 365 and security infrastructure.
• Advanced expertise in Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online mail flow, hybrid configurations, transport rules, and connectors
• Deep knowledge of Entra ID, Conditional Access, Identity Protection, MFA, and Single Sign‑On
• Hands‑on experience with Exchange Online email security features, including threat protection, DLP, and encryption
• Citrix XenApp administration, including application publishing and session management
• Intune device management: Autopilot, Autopatch, compliance policies, security baselines, and configuration profiles
• Microsoft Defender XDR ecosystem: Defender for Endpoint, Identity, Office, and Cloud Apps
• PowerShell scripting and Microsoft Graph API for automation and bulk provisioning
• Proficient in managing Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, and DNS
