Job summary

ERoad Philippines Inc is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer to support its global SaaS platforms from Manila. You will join a platform team blending BAU operations with strategic projects to improve reliability and consolidate cloud usage.

The role emphasizes elevating observability, security, and cost reporting across AWS and Azure. The ideal candidate brings hands-on AWS production experience, Kubernetes at scale, and strong scripting ability in Python, Bash, or Ruby.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on cloud operations experience.
• Production experience with AWS required.
• Familiarity with Azure; hands-on Azure is a bonus.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes at scale (AKS or EKS).
• Experience with Terraform or similar IaC tech.
• CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Concourse or similar.
• Scripting ability in Ruby, Bash, Python, or similar.
• Monitoring/alerting/visualisation tools (Grafana, Datadog, etc.).
• Some cloud cost optimization/FinOps experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in BAU operations and changing priority projects.
• Drive reliability and consolidate cloud footprint across platforms.
• Mature observability from basic monitoring to uplifted practices.
• Contribute to security uplift and platform improvements.
• Develop cost reporting and optimisation as a core practice.
• Engage in on-call duties as part of rotation.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

ERoad is a global fleet management technology company, providing telematics-based tracking, compliance and safety solutions to fleet operators. It is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer to backfill a role on the platform team supporting its global SaaS platforms.

WHAT YOU NEED

• Candidates should bring strong hands-on cloud operations experience together with a genuinely good attitude.
• Strong hands-on production experience with AWS is required.
• Working conceptual familiarity with Azure is needed, with hands-on Azure experience a bonus but not required if your AWS experience is strong.
• Hands-on production experience operating Kubernetes at scale is required, whether on AKS or EKS.
• Experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code technology is needed.
• CI/CD experience using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Concourse or similar tools is required.
• Practical scripting ability in Ruby, Bash, Python or similar languages is required.
• Hands-on depth with monitoring, alerting and visualisation tools such as Grafana, Sumo Logic or Datadog is required.
• Some demonstrable hands-on experience with cloud cost optimisation or FinOps work is needed.
• A logical, open-minded approach and a can-do attitude are important.
• Good time management is needed to balance BAU work against shifting project priorities.
• Automated provisioning tooling knowledge such as Chef, Ansible or Puppet is a plus.
• Experience with containerisation or PaaS products, relational databases, caching or NoSQL systems, or real-time event processing is a plus.
