Job summary

EROAD is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (AWS/Azure) in Manila to strengthen our global SaaS platforms. You will join a platform team blending BAU operations with meaningful projects, driving reliability as we consolidate our cloud footprint.

You will advance observability, security uplift and cloud cost reporting, while taking part in on-call duties. The role requires hands-on AWS, Kubernetes, IaC and CI/CD experience in a collaborative, proactive environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have hands-on cloud operations experience with AWS.
• Strong production experience with AWS is required.
• Familiarity with Azure and hands-on Azure experience is a bonus.
• Hands-on production experience operating Kubernetes at scale (AKS/EKS).
• Experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code is needed.
• CI/CD experience using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Concourse or similar tools is required.
• Scripting ability in Ruby, Bash, Python or similar languages is required.
• Hands-on depth with monitoring/alerting/visualisation tools like Grafana, Sumo Logic or Datadog is required.
• Experience with cloud cost optimisation or FinOps work is needed.
• Open-minded, proactive, and good time management are important.

EROAD is a global fleet management technology company, providing telematics-based tracking, compliance and safety solutions to fleet operators. It is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer to backfill a role on the platform team supporting its global SaaS platforms.

WHAT YOU NEED

• Strong hands‑on production experience with AWS is required.
• Working conceptual familiarity with Azure is needed, with hands‑on Azure experience a bonus but not required if your AWS experience is strong.
• Hands‑on production experience operating Kubernetes at scale is required, whether on AKS or EKS.
• Experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure‑as‑Code technology is needed.
• CI/CD experience using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Concourse or similar tools is required.
• Practical scripting ability in Ruby, Bash, Python or similar languages is required.
• Hands‑on depth with monitoring, alerting and visualisation tools such as Grafana, Sumo Logic or Datadog is required.
• Some demonstrable hands‑on experience with cloud cost optimisation or FinOps work is needed.
• A logical, open-minded approach and a can‑do attitude are important.
• Good time management is needed to balance BAU work against shifting project priorities.
• Automated provisioning tooling knowledge such as Chef, Ansible or Puppet is a plus.
• Experience with containerisation or PaaS products, relational databases, caching or NoSQL systems, or real‑time event processing is a plus.
