Job summary

Kajima Philippines Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support bids and project estimates in the M&E domain in Calabarzon. You will review subcontractor proposals, develop construction methodologies, and ensure compliance with bid documents and standards.

Your role includes preparing quantity take-offs, updating estimates, and maintaining knowledge of applicable codes, safety rules, and QA/QC standards. Collaboration with engineering teams and suppliers is essential for successful proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Possesses a valid professional license issued by the PRC.
• Minimum 3 years’ pro-active field experience in construction M&E trades.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, safety rules, QA/QC, and local codes.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Interface with co-engineers and secure documents for proposals.
• Review, analyze & evaluate sub-contractor proposals.
• Develop construction methodology and standards per bid docs.
• Solicit quotations from suppliers and review pricing accuracy.
• Perform quantity take-offs and prepare estimates per bid docs.
• Maintain knowledge of Philippine and international codes.
• Produce parameter reports and final bid packages.
• Provide re-estimates for redesigned projects or bids.
• Ensure compliance with KTMS.PH Integrated Management System.
