Job summary

A construction firm in the Philippines is looking for a Construction Supervisor to manage the construction process, coordinate projects, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for this role, and candidates must be willing to work in Danao, Cebu.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 10 years of working experience in a related field.
  • Experience in examining and re-engineering operations.
  • Background in MEPFS.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and supervises the construction process.
  • Evaluates and determines construction delivery systems.
  • Oversees the activities of contractors and subordinates.
  • Directs subcontractors, monitoring progress and safety programs.
  • Reviews payments, change orders, and project close-out documentation.
  • Interprets plans for staff and clients; conducts construction conferences.
  • Ensures quality standards and compliance across all project areas.

Job Description
  • Coordinates and supervises the construction process until final construction, making sure that the project gets done on time and within budget. Work with owners, engineers, architects, supervisors and others who are involved in the construction.
  • Takes charge of the following construction phases: Site preparation, including land clearing and earth moving; sewage systems; landscaping and road construction; building construction, including excavation and laying of foundations and erection of the structural framework, floors, walls, and roofs; and building systems, including fire-protection, electrical, plumbing, mechanical air-conditioning and heating, mechanical processes.
  • Evaluates and helps determine appropriate construction delivery systems and the most cost-effective plan and schedule for completing the project. Divides all required construction site activities into logical steps, budgeting the time required to meet established deadlines thru the use of sophisticated estimating and scheduling methods.
  • Helps the Operations Manager or Project Manager in determining the labor requirements of the project.
  • Requests manpower personnel and recommends manpower reduction based on the construction requirement.
  • Directs and monitors the progress of construction activities.
  • Coordinates planning, scheduling and material deliveries with regards to implementation of the project.
  • Oversees the activities of the contractors, construction supervisors and subordinates being handled.
  • Conducts construction conference and reviews construction and bid documents.
  • Interprets and explains construction plans to administrative staff, supervisors, and clients.
  • Reviews and approves request for payments of vendors.
  • Reviews and approves project change orders.
  • Reports work accomplishments to Operations Manager or Project Manager.
  • Accounts for complete project close-out of area/s handled.
  • Accounts for compliance with quality standards and procedures.
  • Participates in the implementation of safety and quality programs.
  • Reviews work performance of subordinates and subcontractors being handled.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Project Manager/Operations Manager/General Manager/Higher Management.
  • With background in MEPFS
Job Requirements
  • Candidate must possess Bachelor's/College Degree inMechanical Engineeringor with the same field, preferably licensed.
  • At least 5 to 10 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
  • Good organization skills
  • Computer Literacy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Candidate must be willing to work inDANAO, CEBU
  • With experience in Construction Firm is a must.
  • Can able to start ASAP.
