Job summary

World Class Laminate Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate for an on-site role in Pasig with 1-3 years of experience.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree and proficiency in AutoCAD, with responsibilities spanning project coordination, site inspections, and shop drawing preparation for fabrication and installation. The candidate should be able to read plans and elevations and be comfortable driving a motorcycle.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Engineering, Associate in Engineering, or Architectural/Interior Design.
• At least 2 years experience in Construction or Architectural or design firms.
• Must know AutoCAD; read plans/elevations and project measurements; and can drive a motorcycle.

Responsibilities

• Receives instruction and coordination from the Fabrication/Installation Supervisor or Manager for projects.
• Communicates with the client/project in-charge/architect/engineer as to the project location and status.
• Coordinates with the supervisor on project assignments to IC/subcontractors and site permits.
• Communicates with the FIS for work permit and other required documents at the site.
• Takes notes on important project aspects and informs FIS/FIM about findings.
• Prepares shop drawings (AutoCAD, 3D renditions) for fabrication and discusses with FIS, ICs, and client.

Responsibilities:

Project Coordination:

• Receives instruction and coordination from the Fabrication/Installation Supervisor (FIS) and or Fabrication/Installation Manager (FIM) of any incoming/ongoing/pending projects.
• Communicates with the client/project in-charge/architect/engineer as to the project’s location.
• Coordinates with the FIS/FIM as to the project assignment to the Independent Contractor (IC/subcon).
• Coordinates with the FIS for to the work permit and other required documents at the site.
• Communicate with the client/project in-charge/architect/engineer as to the status of the fabrication, timetable of delivery and installation schedules.
• Provides technical assistance to the ICs during fabrication and installation.

Site Inspection: (within Metro Manila and out-of-town projects. Involves driving of the company’s MC, the most or automobile if required)

• Inspection of the project site:
• Does verification as to the actual site condition. Determine site’s readiness and safety. Discusses safety preparation and precaution with the ICs.
• Does verification as to the exact measurement.
• Does verification as to the elevation, levelness of the wall, evenness of the countertop sub-top, based cabinets, flooring, and other concerns that affect the installation of the countertop, wall cladding or whatever the case maybe.
• Creates template to projects that need it.
• Takes note of some important aspects of the project.
• Informs and discusses above findings to the FIS and or FIM

Shop Drawing:

• Does verification with the clients drawing.
• Prepares shop drawing (AUTOCAD, 3D rendition) for the ICs guide in fabrication. Submits the same to the FIS
• Discusses shop drawing with the FIS and ICs and client if needed.
• Files and keeps record of the JOs, shop drawings, client drawings and other relevant documents.
• Receives from FIM and record travel budget (out-of-town projects) and the required travel documents.
• Preparations of travel budget liquidation. Submit the same to the FIM.
• Preparations of OT and OB as required by HRMD. Submit the same to the FIM.
• Preparations for the presentation of job-related reports during regular staff meeting. Submit the same to the FIM.
