Job summary

Kajima Philippines Incorporated is looking for an Electrical Engineer to lead day-to-day site coordination with M&E subcontractors and the civil team. You will review plans, manage safety and quality programs, and drive timely milestones.

The candidate should have a BS in Electrical Engineering, a PRC license, and at least 3 years in building construction, with proficiency in MS Office and MS Project. Strong communication and QA/QC knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years pro-active experience in general & building constructions works.
• BS in Electrical Engineering is required.
• PRC professional license is required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of ISO QA/QC standards, safety rules, and electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Interface with co-engineers, sub-contractors, suppliers and site about day to day work plans and schedules.
• Review, analyze & resolve site coordinating issues with M&E sub-contractors & site civil supervisor.
• Maintain daily recap of events for review with the Project Manager weekly.
• Coordinate safety, quality control and ISO quality manuals during working time and weekly meetings.
• Interpret plans, drawings, details and specs for M&E sub-contractors; perform take-offs and requisitions.
• Pro-active in contract administration, scheduling, costing, estimates quality control and supervision of the project.
• Check shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• Supervise M&E sub-contractors, suppliers, labor force and coordinate with clients' direct contractors to project completion.

Job description

Duties, responsibilities & authorities:

• Interface with co-engineers, sub-contractors, suppliers and site about day to day work plans, accomplishment & critical schedules.
• Review, analyze & resolve site coordinating issues with M&E sub-contractors & site civil supervisor.
• Maintain daily recap of events for review with the Project Manager on a weekly basis.
• Coordinate safety efforts, quality control, ISO quality manuals during working time and weekly sub-contractors meeting.
• Interpret plans, drawings, details and specs for M&E sub-contractors and craftsmen workers. Perform materials take-off & create materials requisitions.
• Pro-active in the contract administration, scheduling, costing, estimates quality control and supervision of the project.
• Check shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• Supervise & direct M&E sub-contractors, suppliers, labor force & coordinate with Clients direct contractors to project completion.
• Assure that schedule and quality is fully understood by the M&E sub-contractors.
• Any task directed by immediate supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s of science in Electrical Engineering.
• Must have valid professional license issued by the Professional Regulation Commission.
• At minimum 3 years pro-active experience in general & building constructions works.
• With sound working knowledge of, and experience with contract documentations, procedures, administration & supervision of construction work.
• Good communication skills both verbal & written.
• Fully conversant with Microsoft Office & Microsoft Project software.
• Sound working knowledge of ISO quality standards, Safety rules & regulation and QA/QC standards, Fire & Electrical Code of the Philippines.
