Job summary

Crimson Group, Inc. is seeking a Site Design Supervisor to manage drawing submission schedules and translate rough sketches into AutoCAD drawings.

You will coordinate with the in-house project manager and clients and ensure shop drawings align with approved materials used on site. The role requires a Bachelor's in Architecture, licensure preferred, and 5–8 years in Architecture/Interior Design with 2–3 years in supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture with licensure preferred.
• Licensed Architect preferred.
• 5–8 years experience in Architecture/Interior Design or equivalent (preferred).
• 2–3 years in supervisory or team leader roles.

Responsibilities

• Prepares drawing submission schedule and layouts design drawings for submissions.
• Handles submission of shop drawings to client and monitors approvals.
• Reviews drawings for standards and design intent before client submission.
• Coordinates construction detail with operations or proposes technical details.
• Translates rough sketches into AutoCAD drawings.
• Liaises with client design and project teams on site to acquire requirements.
• Liaises with Operations and QAQC to ensure drawings reflect approved materials used on site.
• Prepares and monitors weekly project reports and timely submissions of drawings.
• Supervises and monitors performance of Site Design Coordinators.

About the role

The Site Design Supervisor prepares drawing submission schedules, layouts design drawings, generates drawing numbers, and coordinates with the in-house project manager and clients. The role involves handling shop drawing submissions to clients, monitoring approvals, and reviewing drawings against standard requirements and design intent. The supervisor translates rough sketches into AutoCAD drawings, liaises with the client's design and project team on site to acquire requirements, and ensures all data in drawings align with approved materials used on site. The position includes preparing and monitoring weekly project reports, ensuring timely submissions of shop and as-built drawings, and coordinating resolution of issues that may delay submissions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepares drawing submission schedule, layouts the design drawings in preparation of drawings, generates the drawing numbers and takes note of all missing design requirements to coordinate with the in-house project manager and clients
• Handles submission of shop drawing to the client and monitor until approval
• Reviews the drawings and gives feedback if as per standard requirements and as per discussed design intent from Operations and or Client prior to submission to client
• Coordinates construction detail with operations or proposes technical details
• Translates rough sketches into AutoCAD drawings
• Liaises with the client's design and project team on site to acquire requirements and standard project design requirements
• Liaise with Operations and QAQC to ensure all data drawn and mentioned in the drawings are as per approved materials used on site
• Prepares and monitors weekly reports of the project at hand
• Ensures timely submissions of shop drawings and as-built drawings
• Supervises and monitors performance of Site Design Coordinators

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
• Licensed Architect (preferred)
• 5 to 8 years experience specializing in Architecture/Interior Design or equivalent (preferred)
• At least 2 to 3 years in supervisory or team leader experience
• Excellent cross-functional communication to liaise smoothly with stakeholders and clients
• Ability to mentor junior design coordinators
• Keen to details and organized
• Willing to work on project site
