RVS Cargo Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Signing Customs Broker/Declarant to join our team in Binondo, Manila City.

This full-time role focuses on managing customs declarations, regulatory compliance, and accurate documentation to ensure smooth clearance for our clients’ shipments. Ideal candidates hold a valid Philippine Customs Broker License, with at least 2 years in brokerage or freight forwarding, and strong knowledge of local regulations, incoterms, and declaration systems.

About the role

RVS Cargo Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Signing Customs Broker/Declarant to join our team in Binondo, Manila City. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in our freight and cargo forwarding operations. As a Signing Customs Broker/Declarant, you will be responsible for managing customs documentation, declarations, and regulatory compliance for our clients\' shipments. This role is essential to ensuring smooth clearance of goods through Philippine customs authorities and maintaining the integrity of our cargo forwarding operations.

What you\'ll be doing

• Preparing and filing accurate customs declarations and related documentation for import and export shipments
• Liaising with Philippine Bureau of Customs officials to facilitate cargo clearance and resolve any compliance issues
• Reviewing shipping documents, invoices, and bills of lading to ensure accuracy and compliance with customs regulations
• Calculating and managing customs duties, taxes, and other applicable fees
• Maintaining detailed records of all customs transactions and maintaining audit trails for compliance purposes
• Providing clients with guidance on customs procedures, documentation requirements, and regulatory obligations
• Monitoring changes in customs regulations and advising the team on implications for operations
• Coordinating with logistics partners, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to expedite cargo movement
• Responding to customs inquiries and resolving discrepancies or delays in the clearance process
• Ensuring all shipments comply with Bureau of Customs regulations and international trade agreements

What we\'re looking for

• Valid Customs Broker License issued by the Philippine Board of Customs Brokers
• Proven experience as a Signing Customs Broker or Declarant with at least 2 years in customs brokerage or freight forwarding
• In-depth knowledge of Philippine customs regulations, tariff classifications, and import-export procedures
• Strong understanding of international trade documentation and incoterms
• Proficiency in customs declaration systems and relevant software platforms
• Excellent organisational and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to liaise effectively with government agencies and clients
• Knowledge of trade compliance, restricted goods regulations, and hazardous material shipping requirements
• Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with logistics management systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges
