Job summary

PT JAH LINE INTERNATIONAL in Manila seeks an experienced professional to manage daily vessel agency operations for ships calling Philippine ports. You will coordinate vessel arrival, port stay, cargo operations, and departure while reviewing documents and ensuring port compliance.

The role requires 2+ years in ship agency or related operations, strong English communication, and the ability to work independently to develop the company’s agency services in the Philippines, including building

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Maritime, Shipping, Logistics, or related fields preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in ship agency, port operations, or vessel operations.
• Strong experience with bulk carrier, general cargo, breakbulk vessel agency operations is highly preferred.
• Candidates with ship agency experience in container vessels, tankers, or other vessel types will be considered.
• Familiar with Philippine port procedures, documentation, and marine service coordination.
• Good command of English, with strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple vessel operations.
• Chinese language ability is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily vessel agency operations for vessels calling Philippine ports.
• Coordinate vessel arrival, port stay, cargo operations, and departure arrangements.
• Handle and review vessel-related documentation, port clearance, EPDA, SOF, NOA/NOD, cargo documents, and other agency documents.
• Coordinate with ship owners, charterers, terminals, Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), pilots, tugboat operators, customs brokers, and local agents.
• Prepare agency quotations, monitor port expenses, and support cost control.
• Provide operation updates and ensure smooth communication among all parties.
• Support the establishment and development of the company’s ship agency operations in the Philippines.
• Develop new business opportunities and maintain relationships with ship owners, charterers and other maritime clients.
